Suttleworth (Old Warden) airfield is home to the Shuttleworth Collection and the Runway Café. This casual walk explores the surrounding countryside around the pretty villages of Old Warden, Northill and Ickwell Green. Enjoy lovely landscape views and a glimpse of the Cardington Hangars. Paths through the woodlands and villages offer an insight into the history of the area, from medieval fishponds to a WWII prison.

To join the walk: Leave the airfield via the main entrance to the Shuttleworth Collection (near the visitor aircraft parking and reception/café), turning right onto Hill Lane. After 450m, keeping the airfield perimeter on your right, turn right at the footpath sign onto the ditch-side 'Sheepwalk Bridleway', starting the walk at step 10.
